Just a few days into my journey in India, I'm still committed to my digital detox. No smartphone distractions; it remains off, and I left my laptop behind, opting to write in a notebook instead. It's been a while since I've written analog-style, so my handwriting has gotten a bit rusty.
Now, without Google Maps due to my phone being off, I decided to purchase a guidebook. Armed with the guidebook and a map, I set out to explore and savor the local delicacies.
Navigating through the map, I arrived at a bustling city center. However, I wasn't in the mood for a crowded touristy spot. So, I entered a seemingly charming restaurant with a few patrons. "It's not busy; that's just right for me. Plus, I want to read a book," I thought, bypassing the noisy popular places full of tourists.
As I waited for my meal, I wondered what to read. Ah, yes, in times like this, there's that perfect book. I reached into my bag and pulled out 'Worry-free Living,' a book that perfectly matched my current state of mind. While reading, I found myself taking deep breaths naturally.
"Ahh, when was the last time I took such a refreshing breath? I must've been breathing shallowly without realizing it," I pondered.
As I continued reading, the local dishes kept arriving one after another, looking delicious.
Temporarily putting the book aside, I indulged in the flavors of the local cuisine. After the digital detox and reading, the meal felt even more delightful.
With a satisfied belly and a refreshed feeling after the digital detox, it's been a while since I felt this rejuvenated. Slowly, my inner strength started to return. Alright, I'll take some time to reflect on my emotions and once again delve into the book.
